The Heart of Midlothian

New publication for 2021 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Sir Walter Scott. A modern interpretation by the Membership Services Committee of dances from "Heart of Midlothian" leaflet of 1820 and of two dances from "Five Favorite Country Dances for 1822" leaflet published by Nathanial Gow. Two Hundred Dancing Years

The booklet written by Shirley Andrews and Peter Ellis and published by the Australian Bicentennial Authority describes how to celebrate two hundred tears of dancing in Australia by reconstructing an authentic Colonial Ball. The booklet includes a selection of programmes from the 19thC and also suggestions for programmes which include modern bush dancing. Dance instruction and basic dance technique are included.

Imperial Book of Scottish Country Dances Volumes 1-3 Combined Edition

Descriptions of dances originally published in three volumes by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Volume 1 1966 contains dances devised by Edna Russell and Jack McConachie. , Volume 2 1971, Volume 3 1977 contain dances which where placed 1-3 in competitions arranged by the ISTD in memory of McConachie. All without music.
